Poetry Slam Season Three to kick off next week

The US Embassy Colombo will hold the ‘Open Mic Competitive Poetry Slam - Season 3’ is to be held on Thursday, 19 January at 4 p.m. The best performer will be chosen by the audience and will be awarded a prize. Consolation prizes will be given to second and third places.

All performers are entitled to free lifetime membership to the American Center Library in Colombo and the American Corners in Kandy and Jaffna. In addition, they will also receive an American publication. All works performed must be original works by the performers.

Entries will be received until Tuesday, 17 January.
