MARKSS Healthcare (MARKSS HLC) one of the fastest growing pharmaceutical companies in Sri Lanka, organized a unique thematic discussion for OPD Doctors of the Central Hospital Colombo under the theme “Uncommon causes for common conditions of the heart” recently, a company spokesperson said.
Dr. Hemal Fernando, Senior Consultant and Cardiologist demonstrated different aspects of cardiomyopathy to the OPD doctors, with the aid of the latest web based teaching tools from Harvard School of Medicine, one of the most highly regarded medical schools in the world,
The sessions elaborated on the subject cardiomyopathy, which is often known as “heart muscle disease,” resulting in the deterioration of the function of the myocardium. People with cardiomyopathy are often at risk of arrhythmia or sudden cardiac death or both.
