Love, intrigue, deception, sibling rivalry, fraud, restoration – it all sounds like the evening news, right? But no, is the story of the most famous twins in the world, Jacob and Esau who were born in ancient Israel thousands of years ago, where the custom of the day was for the eldest son to receive a special blessing from his father and a double portion of the father’s assets as an inheritance through what was called a “birthright”.
Esau was the firstborn twin but Jacob tricked him out of his rightful inheritance, birthright, and their father’s blessings.
Angered, and seeking revenge, Esau vowed to kill Jacob who was then forced to leave home and spend years running from Esau. Despite his flawed character Jacob was blessed in every way possible.
The famous story of Jacob and Esau is unparalleled and the finale will make you stand up and cheer!
