Speaking about her passion, young energetic Achini Somachandra – Founder, Handmade with Love by Chaste and Owner of Chaste Fashion and Design opined, “Through this event we aim to build a platform, connecting talented and creative small and medium scale businesses directly to consumers, educate the public on the art of making and creating and to foster a stronger, more sustainable local economy. There are many talented individuals who are passionate about starting their own enterprise, but lack the opportunities due to financial constraints, technology knowledge to start their own social media business page and due to a fear of failure psychology. This event acts as a solution for all these hurdles. This is a chance for start-ups and micro businesses to engage with their potential customers and succeed through the use of one’s talent.” Exclusive designer clothing, accessories, cosmetics and spa products will be available from ContiNew, Zigzag.lk, Ethnicity, Shalini’s Clothes, Waver Finch, Simple Elegance, Agora Boutique, Firefly, Helinta, and Umi’s Corner. Home ware décor and paper crafts will be available from Savosel Creations, Ceramore, Chaste Fashion and Design, Designed by Yash, Bloom Wall Art, Crochet Lanka and The Craft Connection.
