Melodic death metal band Fallen Grace will be breaking new ground when they become the first Sri Lankan band to play in Singapore at Carnage Fest 2011. The
performance also marks their maiden international tour – taking their own brand of Sri Lankan melodic death metal music overseas.
Fallen Grace front man Sohan Ratnaike, and band members Rakitha Gamage, Shivantha Baddewela, Shamil Perera and Nisala Perera are feeling “utterly psyched” at the prospect of performing to a crowd of metal heads in Singapore and stated that they were “very proud and excited” at being the first local band to ever perform in Singapore.
The band has of late been busy recording their debut album ‘Heresy Unveiled’ at Shakti Studios.
The festival will also feature prominent extreme metal acts from Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and India; the prominent bands being Naetu (Australia), Zygoatsis (Thailand), Absence of the Sacred (Singapore) and Deus Ex Machina (Singapore).
The Festival is organised by regional music promotions giant, Alliance Music, responsible for promoting artistes of all genres in the South Asian region to many Western countries.
