The talented all-male choir ‘Choro Benedicte’ announced the launch of an a capella Christmas album with a very special collection of contemporary and traditional carols and songs. This album also features the original single by the group, ‘On Christmas Day’. The CD can be purchased at the Park Street Mews, Commons or The Bayleaf. Proceeds from this album will be directed to the betterment of Friends of Prisoners Children.

‘Choro Benedicte’ is an all-male choral group consisting of a group of 10 singers who specialise in a cappella, close harmony and vocal duplication singing. The name ‘Choro Benedicte’ has been around for more than a decade, and owes it to legendary trainers such as Robert Joseph, Ken Jansen, Kalasurie Lylie Godridge and Francis De Almeida.

Productions of this vocal power house include ‘The Unfinished Symphony’, ‘Memories’, ‘Harmony’, ‘Festival of Songs’ and ‘Harmonic Progression I & II’, along with ‘Shades of Sound’, ‘Song Shine’, ‘Vochestra’.

The album produced and launched by Faith and Hope Records is the second project completed in collaboration with Choro Benedicte with the aim of promoting Sri Lankan talent. The original single featured in this album is written and composed by Manaram Gunetileke (CEO, Faith and Hope Records). The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Udara Fernando at Faith and Hope Studios.
