On a Wednesday, you are far enough into the week that you are completely immersed in work, yet far enough from the end of it for the weekend to feel like a distant dream. 

On days like this a mid-week refresher is just what the doctor would prescribe.  Something that allows you to pause, re-align your thoughts, and brighten up the rest of the week.  This is why Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo organises the occasional mid-week indulgence.

It is an early evening occasion, beginning at 7.30pm and continuing until 9.30pm where guests may choose from six fine sparkling beverages and enjoy them in unlimited quantities.  The buffet of accompaniments will cover appetizers such as Grissini wrapped with parma ham, Platters of anti pasto, Cold asparagus with saffron aioli sauce, Assorted sushi with condiments, Coca catalane, Insalata caprese, Marinated vegetable escalibada, Mini seafood cocktails, a platter of cheeses with freshly baked bread, an assortment of Pâtés as well as Cheviche.

The hotel’s Chefs have a selection of hot dishes on offer too, giving guests a taste of Poached Tasmanian salmon with champagne cream, Ragout of baby lobster with parmesan, Confit of spring chicken with orange caramel, Escallops of beef with lemon and pomodoro, Sauteed assorted champignons, Grilled polenta, Pasta Siciliana and a Virginia sugar ham with green apple sauce.

The ambience at The Lounge is perfectly suited for the occasion, with soft music by the lobby pianist and large glass windows that give guests a glimpse of the shimmering Beira water as well as the crystal blue swimming pool the hotel recently refurbished.
