Watch the passion of a cop continue in the afterlife as R.I.P.D (3D) hits theatres on 27 September 2013. Imported by Liberty Cinemas, R.I.P.D, which stands for “Rest In Peace Department”, will be screened at Majestic Cinemas. R.I.P.D is a supernatural action-adventure where a slain cop joins a team of undead police officers to find the man who murdered him. Starting Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds, ‘Roy’ and ‘Nick’ are two cops dispatched by the otherworldly Rest In Peace Department to protect and serve the living from an increasingly destructive array of souls who refuse to move peacefully to the other side. Veteran sheriff Roy has spent his career with the legendary police force (R.I.P.D.) tracking monstrous spirits who are cleverly disguised as ordinary people. His mission is to arrest and bring to justice a special brand of criminals trying to escape final judgment by hiding among the unsuspecting on Earth. Once the wise-cracking Roy is assigned detective Nick Walker as his junior officer, the new partners have to turn grudging respect into top-notch teamwork. When they uncover a plot that could end life as we know it, two of R.I.P.D.’s finest must miraculously restore the cosmic balance or watch the tunnel to the afterlife begin sending angry souls the very wrong way. Distributed by Universal Pictures, R.I.P.D is a 1 hour 36 minute long film directed by Robert Schwentke. The film is classified under the genre of action, adventure and comedy.  As of 19 September 2013, R.I.P.D. has grossed $ 33,492,000 in the United States, plus $ 33,300,000 internationally, for a combined gross of $ 68,092,000. It has been labelled a ‘box office bomb’ with the opening weekend bringing in approximately 10% of the film’s $ 130 million production budget.
