Since its inception in 1990 by the Singaporean master cutters William and Vincent Mai, EEANN has been producing hand-sewn, individually tailored suits that are of the highest quality and fitted to each customer’s specifications.
Deriving its meaning from the term “be spoken for”, a bespoke suit refers to a garment that is hand-made to suit individual requirements. In 2006, the company was acquired by Saeed Ahamed, who was later joined by Director Abdul Gafoor, and Director Thabit Samad. They continue the firm’s journey in catering to their valued customers.
The lowest price bracket for a tailored suit begins at Rs 28,000 and highest at roughly Rs 60,000 depending on the individual’s selection of fabric. In picking their choice of suit, customers are presented an extensive range of wool fabrics from Italy and England, imported from Thailand, Hong Kong and Singapore, while shirt material can be selected from the variety of Irish linen and Egyptian cotton available. High-quality accessories are bought from Germany.
EEANN not only offers suits, it also tailors formal and casual wear for both gents and ladies. The company also undertakes tailoring with material provided by the customer. With just 22 tailors in their employment, and a minimum stitching price of Rs 10,000, EANN’s target market is very exclusive as they cater predominantly to ambassadors, diplomats and elite wedding parties. In order to provide their clients with a quality experience, they offer personalized designs, on-time delivery and assure a high-level of customer satisfaction.
The board of directors claims that their business is steadily growing as more businessmen and professionals require to wear suits for their meetings, and prefer a customized fit, and designs that accentuate their frame. At the core of EEANN’s success is the team of skilled tailors and designers, some of whom have been working with the company since its very onset and bring with them decades of experience and knowledge.
Located at No 37, Lily Avenue, Colombo 6, EEANN is open from 10 am to 5.30 pm daily from Monday to Saturday and on appointment on Sundays. More information can be obtained through its website www.eeannorient.com.
