Barista Lavazza opened its newest branch in Sri Lanka within the historic Galle Fort on the southern coast of the island recently. The new branch brings the flavours of the global franchise to discerning coffee drinkers and cafe goers in the area.
It was ceremoniously opened on 9 October 2012 in the presence of Aravinda de Silva, Ajith Dias, Gihan Dias, Suresh Jayawardena, Manhal Villcassim, foreign visitors and residents from the Galle area.
Speaking at the launch, CEO of Barista Lavazza Suresh Jayawardena said: “Barista Lavazza is the largest coffee house chain in Sri Lanka with over a decade of serving satisfied customers, both from here and visitors from overseas.
“Following the opening of our outlet at the Bandaranaike International Airport and the new decor upgrade, we are now on a drive to expand our reach and gear up our product and service offering, and this move to the historic city of Galle reflects this focus. We will also open another outlet in a strategic location in Colombo and look forward to new tie ups in Negombo and Kandy very soon.”
Following close on the heels of its new summer menu launch across its entire cafe network, Barista Lavazza continues to innovate with new food and beverage options to tantalise taste buds and appeal to its varied customer base.
The addition of a selection of new sandwiches featuring meat and spice options, and refreshing fruity beverage mixes to beat the summer heat are all part of the summer menu by Barista here in Sri Lanka.
