Around the world in 11 years

A testimony of one man’s astonishing passion and determination to spread the message of peace around the world, the story of peace and democracy activist and adventurer Pushkar Shah is truly an inspiring one.

A series of tumultuous events in his early years during the uprisings in Nepal, the death of his father at the hands of terrorists and his own involvement in the Popular People’s Movement in the 1990s fired his desire to spread the message ‘may peace prevail on earth,’ which he did by setting out on an 11-year-long journey to fulfil his dream: One of riding 221,000 kilometres around the world on a bicycle.
