A Japanese Film Festival will be held at National Film Corporation Theatre, 303, Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 7, on 23 and 24 September.
The Film Festival is presented by the Embassy of Japan and the Japan Foundation in collaboration with the National Youth Services Council, National Film Corporation and the Ship for World Youth Alumni Association.
Admission to the theatre is free of charge. The film schedule is as follows:
Ecotherapy Gateway Holiday: 23 September, 3 p.m.
Climbing to Spring: 23 September, 5:30 p.m.
Wood Job: 24 September, 3 p.m.
A Farewell to Jinu: 24 September, 5:30 p.m.
This year’s festival features Japanese rural life, away from the hustle and bustle of the city as well as the natural beauty of Japan. The four films to be screened have received high acclaims in film festivals both in Japan and internationally.
