Thushara Innasithamby from My Sister's Kitchen
The unique palmyrah studded coastlines, calm waters of the peninsula and most importantly of all, the exotic flavours of food define the unique region that is Jaffna.
Embark on a unique culinary journey to the North of Sri Lanka here in Colombo at the Jaffna Food Festival presented by Mount Lavinia Hotel in association with media personality Danu Innasithamby and his sister Thushara Innasithamby. The festival is happening on 24, 25 and 26 January from
6 pm onwards at the Imperial Room, priced at Rs. 2,900 nett.
Savour the scrumptious buffet cooked truest to the Jaffna tradition; relish the signature seafood fried with a coat of crushed spices, at the live action stations. End your hearty meal with desserts and sweat meats inspired by palmyrah, rasa valli kilangu and other ingredients unique to the north.
The culinary prowess behind the festival is Thushara Innasithamby from My Sister’s Kitchen. She curates a full Jaffna spread based on recipes that have been traditionally used in her family and finishes with her own signature twist. Thushara brings flavours of Jaffna to the Colombo connoisseurs through her catering enterprise – My Sister’s Kitchen.
