The stand-up comedy show ‘Freedy Goodbye Nation’ written and directed by maestro Feroze Kamardeen has been entertaining the audiences with sharp and subtle messages at the cosy Meow Comedy Club at Galadari Hotel daily from 7:15 p.m. onwards since 5 August. Presented by Starlight and Magic Inc., the satirical features Adin Mathitharan, Dilini Perera and Nisal Katipearachchi.
The hilarious performance by the trio will keep you laughing throughout the two-hour show with two short breaks. The script is excellent and all the three performers give life to it in their own inimitable styles.
Freddy Goodbye Nation effectively deals with important political, social and economic events that impacted Sri Lankans for the past two and half years starting from the loss of the President Maithripala-Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe ‘Yahapalanaya’ regime to the landslide victory of Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the Presidential election, his 32-month rule and the eventual ouster via the people’s peaceful uprising and the appointment of Wickremesinghe as the interim President. Supporting cast that provides music include Nishantha Warnakulasuriya, Denham Hakel, Shalintha Rodrigo and Charith Fernando.
Freddy Goodbye Nation’s last shows are this weekend and it is a must if you have a soul that reflects and can laugh its way through in tandem with the great script and direction by Feroze and the individual and joint performances. The breaks provide an opportunity to network and also enjoy a good selection of food and beverages from Galadari Hotel.
