In celebration of the 45th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Sri Lanka, the Korean Embassy on Thursday at the Colombo City Centre at Colombo 2 launched a three-day ‘Feel the Real Korea; Virtual Tour 2022’ to two of the most popular tourist destinations in Korea.
Those who are interested in taking a virtual visit to Jeju Island, the largest Island of Korea and Gyeongju, a historical City of Korea, can enjoy the virtual reality tour at CCC today from 11.00 a.m. to 08:00 p.m.
Korean Ambassador in Sri Lanka Santhush Woonjin JEONG said culture is pivotal in strengthening ties between the two countries.
To mark the celebratory year of diplomatic relations, the Korean Embassy has organised a series of special cultural events like the Korean Lantern Festival, Quiz on Korea, K-pop World festival, Korean Ambassador’s Taekwondo Championship and the Korean Film Festival 2022.
‘Feel the Real Korea; Virtual Tour 2022’ will also be an opportunity to strengthen the tourism cooperation between Korea and Sri Lanka and bridge our two cultures together.
This unique and wonderful experience will enable all visitors to travel to Jeju Island, the largest island in Korea that features beautiful beaches and lush countryside. Gyeongju, a historical city of Korea showcases the beautiful harmony of tradition and modernisation, enchanting visitors with distinct four seasons.
All visitors of this Virtual Tour will be immersed in the dazzling range of experiences Korea has to offer, including beautiful landscapes and 5000 years of culture and history. Moreover, ‘Feel the Real Korea; Virtual Tour 2022’ is composed of many fun-activities including a station to design DIY Korean handcrafts, a photo zone to pose with traditional Korean attire on display.
