The Sathya Sai Centre Colombo will celebrate next week the 97th Year of Advent of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba with a series of events.
It will hold a Special Program on Wednesday 23 November 2022 at Sai Mandir, Colombo 07 and Sivananda Nilayam, Colombo 06 and a public program on Sunday 27 November 2022 at Ramakrishna Hall, Ramakrishna Road, Colombo 06
Sri Sathya Sai Baba is one of the most revered spiritual teachers in the world. He is believed to be a divine incarnation by his followers who come from all faiths and races. He proclaimed His message – to bring about the spiritual regeneration of humanity by demonstrating and teaching the highest principles of Truth, Right Conduct, Peace, Love, and Nonviolence.
By personal example, Sri Sathya Sai Baba has inspired and continues to inspire millions of followers throughout the world to the ideal that service to man is service to God. His numerous service projects, be it free hospitals, free schools and free education (schools & colleges), free drinking water supply projects, or free housing projects, or disaster relief operations, all stand testimony to His selfless love and compassion especially for the needy and less privileged.
The Sri Sathya Sai International Organisation founded by Sri Sathya Sai Baba has a presence in more than 160 countries and its members undertake many service activities that benefit their immediate communities.
Sri Sathya Sai Baba remains a living presence, an inspiration, a guide, and most of all a cherished, endearing and intimately felt divinity in the hearts of millions who know Him. On 23 November, concurrent programmes will be held at Sai Mandir, 22, Barnes Place, Colombo 07 from 5.00 a.m. to 8.00 a.m. and in the evening from 6 p.m. to 7.30 p.m., as well as at ‘Sivananda Nilayam’ - 23, Rudra Mawatha, Colombo 06 from 5.00 a.m. to 6.00 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
The public program on Sunday 27 November at Ramakrishna Hall, Ramakrishna Road, Colombo 06 will be from 4.30 p.m. to 8.00 p.m.
Aravind Balasubramanya, Alumnus, SSSIHL, Puttaparthi will make a special address and Colombo Samithy Chairperson Ramani Gammampila will also speak. The event includes musical storytelling, drama and video presentations.
