Renowned Bharatnatyam exponents Pavitra Krishna Bhatt and Aparna Shastry Bhatt from India performed at Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre recently. Pavitra Krishna Bhatt started his initial dance learning at Kalanjali under Kumari Vasantha and later trained under the renowned Bharatanatyam exponent Guru Shri Deepak Mazumdar. An A grade artist of Indian Television, Pavtra has choreographed and performed in many thematic presentations in India, Dubai, Malaysia, Indonesia Canada and USA. He has been awarded as ‘Shanmukasankeetha Shiromani’ by the Shanmukanantha Academy for his continuous service in the field. Pavitra established the Pavitra Art Visual Bharatanatyam Institute in a suburb of Mumbai which is considered as one of the leading dance institutes in Mumbai. Aparna Shastry Bhatt is a disciple of Guru Shri Ratha Sridhar from Bangalore. She has performed widely in India and abroad and also is an experienced teacher, choreographer and organiser
