Two latest movies ‘Memory’ and ‘Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent’ are now being shown in several Sri Lankan cinemas.
American action thriller ‘Memory’ is shown at LSC – Liberty by Scope Cinemas, CCC – Colombo City Centre, PVR Colombo 2, Milano Kegalle and Majestic Cinema.
Memory cast include Liam Neeson as an aging hitman with early onset dementia who must go on the run after declining a contract on a young girl; Guy Pearce, Monica Bellucci, Harold Torres, Taj Atwal and Ray Fearon also star.
Directed by Martin Campbell from a screenplay by Dario Scardapane, ‘Memory’ is based on the novel De Zaak Alzheimer by Jef Geeraerts and is a remake of the novel’s previous adaptation, the Belgian film The Alzheimer Case.
When Alex, an expert assassin, refuses to complete a job for a dangerous criminal organisation, he becomes a target. FBI agents and Mexican intelligence are brought in to investigate the trail of bodies, leading them closer to Alex. With the crime syndicate and FBI in hot pursuit, Alex has the skills to stay ahead, except for one thing: he is struggling with severe memory loss, affecting his every move. Directed by Tom Gormican, who co-wrote the screenplay with Kevin Etten, the cast of Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent includes Nicolas Cage as a fictionalised version of himself, along with a supporting cast that includes Pedro Pascal, Sharon Horgan, Ike Barinholtz, Alessandra Mastronardi, Jacob Scipio, Neil Patrick Harris, and Tiffany Haddish.
