CINEC, state-of-the-art campus enrols more than 19,000 students annually

CINEC Campus now caters to approximately 19,000 students annually, who follow a range of over 195 educational and training programs at their state-of-theart campus. CINEC offers programs from Certificate level to Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degrees in affiliation with well reputed universities from USA, UK, Australia and China, and is recognised by the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL) and University Grants Commission (UGC) of Sri Lanka at an affordable cost. The Colombo International Nautical and Engineering College, more widely known as CINEC Campus, is located in Malabe – a quiet picturesque suburb in the capital city of Colombo, with branches in Nugegoda, Jaffna and Trincomalee. CINEC was established in 1990 based on four internationally accredited Quality Management Systems. With a proud history of over two and a half decades, CINEC has been able to establish itself as the most prestigious option for those who desire a career in the fields of Maritime, Engineering and Technology, Logistics and Transportation, Management, Aviation, Information Technology,

Life at CINEC is made both interesting and enjoyable with plenty of opportunities for extracurricular activities, sports and recreation. CINEC offers vast range of higher educational programs in below areas: The faculties of Engineering and Technology offers four years of a MEng program in: Electronics and Communication Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering. Mechatronic Engineering and three years of a BEng program in Civil Engineering (International). These programs are offered for students who have excelled at their advanced level examination in Mathematic stream. Entry requirement for these programs is a minimum of three simple passes in Mathematic stream at one sitting.

Those who with inadequate results could follow Technology Foundation program which is for one year in order to join the Degree program. CINEC also offers programmes in Marine Engineering, Maritime Science. The faculty of Management and Social Sciences offers four years of a BSc. (Hons) Degree in Logistics and Transportation approved by University Grant Commission (UGC) which is a very lucrative and industry oriented program. Students graduate in this degree are placed in well reputed organisations in the country for their internships. Aircraft Maintenance Technician program is offered for those who wish to progress in Aviation industry. CINEC also provides programs in Information Technology, English Language and Teacher Training. CINEC will be organising ‘Seminar & Open Day 2016’ on 11 September at its premises in Malabe. The event held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.,

which will be attended by both parents and students who have completed their formal school education, will draw key professionals and practitioners from well reputed organisations and provide various insights and information towards the present and future industrial opportunities in the country along with salary scales, career paths, as well as international job prospects. Professors and lecturers from state universities across the island will also be participating, representing their relevant subject curriculums, to discuss about programs offered at CINEC.
