Conserving heritage

A pilgrimage and an eco-friendly community service programme on Raja Mawatha at Sri Palabaddala, Ratnapura is being carried out for the second time by the Buddhist Association of Auditor General’s Department in collaboration with its Welfare Society. The event takes place from 9 to 10 December, the first two days of the Sri Pada Pilgrimage Season which falls on Unduwap Full Moon Poya Day. A special offering of flowers will be made by spreading 10,000 marigold flowers on the courtyard of Sri Pada and carrying offerings including eight requisites up to the courtyard of Sri Pada.
