Cinnamon Grand lights up for Vesak

As the flagship hotel of an indigenous brand, Cinnamon Grand Colombo is known to honour and celebrate local culture and its rich heritage at every given opportunity. The premier five-star city hotel, joined in with the general festivities for Vesak, paying tribute to the day with beautiful illumination at the hotel; and offer of goodwill at their annual ‘Saruwath’ dansala, held for the sixth consecutive year. At Nuga Gama, Cinnamon Grand’s very own village in the city, over 2000 guests and well-wishers were treated with ‘saruwath’ when they came to experience a truly local Vesak celebration. Conceptualised and developed in-house by the Grand’s Engineering Department, led by Chief Engineer Panduka Wijewardena, the decoration followed the colour scheme of the Buddhist flag.
