aiki Akimoto 5S Awards were held recently at the Galadari Hotel. The Chief Guest at the event was Ambassador for Japan in Sri Lanka Nobuhito Hobo, while the Guest of Honour was MAS Brands Managing Director Ajay Amalean. The JASTECA Awards was held for the 19th consecutive year. This award is incorporated with Taiki Akimo 5S Award, Ian Dias Abeysinghe Memorial JASTECA CSR Award and Nagaaki Yamamoto Kaizen Award. Organisations in the category of trade/service, manufacturing and telecommunication took part in the competition, with 80 competitors. The participating organisations displayed very high standards in implementing and sustaining 5S initiatives. The award ceremony finished with a gala dinner.
