During the past decade, the Colombo Dutch Hospital Precinct has gathered momentum as one of the popular hang-out spots in the city. Since last year, the vibe has indeed increased with the introduction of street events along Hospital Street. The events were initiated to cater to the local and foreign visitors to the area. Fairway Colombo, a subsidiary of Fairway Holdings, is a local conglomerate that has continuously supported local art and culture through numerous projects. The philosophy behind the street events stems from the objective of transforming Hospital Street into a festive location, promoting local culture, values, traditions and connecting experiences with some of the other cities in the world. The events include a Street Food Festival every last Saturday and Sunday of the month from 06.00pm to 11.30pm, a Cultural Show every Monday and Thursday from 07.00pm to 10.00pm, Art & Jazz on the street every Second Saturday & Sunday of the month from 10.00am to 09.00pm and Jam on the Street every second and fourth Wednesday of the month from 07.00pm to 10.00pm
