Priyantha Saman Kumara – Proprietor of Micro Agro Products, Beliatta were awarded as the Best Entrepreneurs (Gold winners), representing the Extra Large, Large, Medium and Small Scale Businesses respectively. Under the Open Competition category, M. Chaminda – Managing Director of Dumindu Industries Ltd., Hambantota, G. Mallikaarachchi – Proprietor of Mallikaarachchi Furniture Palace, Hambantota, and A.A. Sanath Kumara – Proprietor of Sanath Auto Electricals, Hambantota were awarded as the Best Entrepreneurs (Silver winners), representing the Extra Large, Large and Medium Scale Businesses respectively. Brothers, Middeniya The gold awards for the Best Women entrepreneur and the Best Youth entrepreneur of the year were won by K.G.A.C. Sudarshani – Proprietor of Chamila Yoghurt, Tissamaharama and A.A. Sanath Kumara –Proprietor of Sanath Auto Electricals Hambantota respectively. The Silver awards for the Best Women Entrepreneur and the Best Youth Entrepreneur of the Year –W.M. Sriyani – Proprietor of Shellview Paint House, Tissamaharama and Malith Gunarathna- Managing Director of PC Systems Tech Mart Ltd., Tissamaharama respectively. The Merit awards for the Best Women Entrepreneur and the Best Youth Entrepreneur of the Year were won by T.M. Subadra Rohini-Director of Rasika Fashion Park Ltd. and W.W.A. Ajith Prasanna Kumara-Proprietor of Dinith Offset Printers, Hambantota respectively. A special session was held to award honorary membership of HDCC and to recognise Hambantota District entrepreneurs who had been recognised recently with awards at national and international level. Honorary membership of HDCC awarded to D.B.W. Manamperi, Founder, Manamperi Stores Ltd. and Kumaruni Wickramasooriya, Chairperson, Navajeevana in Tangalle. H.L. Duminda Sanjeewa – Proprietor of Pasan Concrete Works, Hambantota – Best Youth Entrepreneur at TOP 20 Sri Lankan Youth Coronation Ceremony in 2013 organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Skill Development and National Youth Services Council. Shiran Chathuranga – Owner of Sun Clean Auto Service, Hungama – Winner of Best Young Technician and 1st Runner of Best Young Entrepreneur at TOP 20 Sri Lankan Youth coronation Ceremony in 2013 organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Skill Development and National Youth Services Council. W.T.D. Sujith Kumara – owner of WTK Fiber Mill & Coco Peat Lanka Ltd., Weeraketiya – Winner of Coir and Coir Products Sector at Shilpa 2012 organised by Sri Lanka Small Industries Development Ministry and Lanka Industrial Development Board.
