RnB, soul and pop artist Sheaam Dean with his singular flair for music released his debut international single Afterglow under Midas King Productions, an international production company. The 22-year-old singer who gained much fame with his single ‘Rebekah’ in Sri Lanka is now set on creating strides in the international music arena as well.
Raymond Fry, Manager of Midas King Productions reflected on the extremely positive feedback the single has received and commented that his phone has not stopped ringing since the release. He said: “My email inbox is inundated with requests from composers and producers requesting to work with him,” attesting to Dean’s rise in popularity.
Dean’s debut EP is set to be released worldwide in Spring 2014 by the European label Schizofrenic records who has an impressive track record having worked with artists such as Leona Lewis, Tinchy Stryder, and McLean.
Further all the songs in Dean’s EP have been written, composed and produced by the brilliant international team of Midas King Productions that includes George Shashin who has worked with many prominent Russian pop stars and bands, Carl Lidberg who has written for Swedish pop star Magnus Backlund, and Richard Stephens who has worked alongside greats artistes such as Reggie Lucas and Andy Wallace, as well as working with all-time legends—namely Jeff Buckley, Yoko Ono, Marc Cohen and Stone Temple Pilots – and many other successful bands and artistes.
Fry said: “I have also had the privilege of working with Guitarist Ray De Tone along with Italian classical composer/pianist Gian Marco La Serra and composer Lorenzo Lotito.”
Reflecting on the dedication and hard work behind the EP, Sheaam Dean said: “I am fortunate to have my manager and his team, along with Harsha Subasinghe who have all put so much effort into helping me move forward in my career, and can’t thank them enough. My manager is arranging for Pete Maher to master the songs for my EP and follow up album. Pete has mastered for The Rolling Stones, Katy Perry, U2, Kelly Clarkson, Nicole Scherzinger, The Killers, Patti Smith and a host of other artists. Therefore, I know that I am in excellent hands.” Though the songs for the EP are still in production, Dean mentioned titles such as ‘Turn you round’, ‘I’m not afraid to fall in love’, ‘Cry me a river’, ‘Always breaking’, ‘Footsteps in the rain’ and ‘When you smiled’ as some that would be included while more titles are yet to be decided.
