Renowned German classical quartet Salut Salon brought the audience to its feet during their concert in Colombo on 2 October at the British School Auditorium.
The program titled Night of Destiny nimbly mixed classical pieces with fun tunes that had the audience clapping gleefully one minute and listening in awe the next.
The quartet comprising Angelika Bachman (Violin), Iris Siegfried (Viola), Friederike Dany (Cello) and Olga Shkrygunova (Piano) began performing as an ensemble in 2002, and has won acclaim for their unique, virtuosic way of fusing classics with fun.
