Closeup Sri Lanka, the leading gel toothpaste in Sri Lanka, that gives the confidence to get and stay close with a burst of freshness unique to Closeup, understands the connection between music and youth.
Closeup Voice, Sri Lanka’s first ever Online Unplugged Music Platform, has become a new generation musical experience in the Sri Lankan digital music space. Closeup Voice partnered one of the country’s best known music events, TNL Onstage recently as yet another way of staying close to the young who love their music.
The first-ever Closeup Voice of Choice was a unique platform for the contestants of TNL Onstage and enabled the youth to connect with their favourite contestants and songs in a fresh new way.
The five finalists, Joel Fernando, Shazad Synon, Shala Amarasuriya, Minesh Dissanayake and Nikhil D’Almeida belted out songs, videos of which were uploaded to the Closeup Sri Lanka Facebook fan page, as the fans rushed to view and vote for the videos on CloseupFB. The video with the highest number of likes won the Closeup Voice of Choice Award.
Minesh Dissanayake was crowned as the first-ever Closeup Voice of Choice. “The response on Facebook was been amazing, with more and more people sharing my music video. It has been an incredible experience from the start,” he said.
Closeup Voice will continue to be the ultimate musical experience for youth, says Munazza Rafeek, Brand Manager of Closeup. “Music and youth are connected just as Closeup and youth are connected and the journey will continue.”
