Each time Music.Inc takes to the stage to packed audiences, its purpose has remained mutual and committed towards a cause that they feel strongly towards. Music.Inc, a group of artists specialising in singing, choreography and orchestration, has contributed their collective talents to give back to a needy cause.

Proceeds of past Music.Inc concerts, The Wish List and The Christmas Wish List, went towards granting wishes for children suffering with cancer and to purchase much needed medication and equipment for the Children’s Ward of the National Cancer Institute, Maharagama.

Music.Inc’s latest concert, A Final Wish List, is dedicated to a group of innocent and youthful women, between the ages 10-18, who have left their home and communities, or have been removed from their homes due to abuse or the threat of abuse, and are courageously testifying in court. Music.Inc has partnered with the Emerge Lanka Foundation to improve the lives of an amazing group of girls who have suffered from abuse.

Emerge is an organisation that partners with resource-poor shelters that would typically take in sexually abused girls. Emerge has identified a need to rebuild the lives of sexually victimised girls so that they are prepared to face the world on their own, to start afresh once their court cases are settled. The Foundation, which is a global movement, is guided by the belief that happy, smart, independent young women can change the course of society for the better.

Emerge equips sexually abused girls with skills and resources for their futures, using a comprehensive curriculum that emphasises leadership, life skills, and business knowledge, while simultaneously generating a financial foundation for each program participant through the creation of unique, Emerge branded-jewellery.

A show by Music.Inc always delivers. This unique and energetic group of musicians believes in presenting a line-up that’s well-loved and charismatic, to give their audience a fantastic night-out. The concert will be an opportunity for audiences to experience popular songs re-created at a live music venue by some of the most talented musicians in the country, from different, ages and backgrounds, male and female.

The program for the A Final Wish List will include contemporary, pop, classics, alternative, and rock music and songs, as well as Christmas carols, to get you in the mood for the season. Songs to look forward to will be ‘Some Nights’ by Fun., a pop ballad that’s become a huge hit, ‘Show Must Go On’ from the blockbuster musical Moulin Rouge, ‘Everyday People’ by Sly and the Family Stone, and the beautifully arranged ‘Carol of the Bells’ by Celtic Women, along with Music.Inc’s original compositions.  Music.inc, directed by Shannon Jacob, will present A Final Wish List on 12 and 13 of December 2012 at the British School auditorium at 7.30 p.m. Proceeds of the show will be used to honour a wish-list for the sexually abused girls represented by Emerge, and to host a fabulous Christmas party for them, as an opportunity for the girls to leave their worries behind and have some fun.
