Voice Lounge shares excitement for upcoming karaoke competition

Celebrating six months, Voice Lounge shares in its excitement for the upcoming Karaoke Competition. In just a short span, Voice Lounge has breathed new life into the karaoke culture of the city. A hot spot with those who love to try their wonders behind the mike, it’s a place where pro’s and newbies feel just as comfortable.

Continuing on its blazing trail, partners, Sajith and Jeevana Fernando together with Dinuk Hettiarachchi are already certain it’s time to take the next leap – a karaoke clash like never before!

Says Sajith: “Over the last few months we’ve seen how so many people have had a great time singing out their favourite songs at Voice. At the very core of our concept, we visualised developing talent in Sri Lanka.”

 The remarkable response Voice has seen makes the team take on this contest with a whole lot of passion. In the spirit of the competition, Voice Lounge encourages contestants of a cross section of ages whose talent may vary from rock n’ roll to RNB or country to soul music.

The all important name for the competition is yet to be unveiled. Applications will open in July with preliminaries to commence in August. “For the competition to be a success we know we need the right partners,” affirms Sajith.

Web and press partner Wijeya Newspapers backs the competition with the Daily Mirror, the Daily FT, the Sunday Times and Hi Magazine. The radio partner is TNL Lite. Voice Lounge strongly believes its partners share the same values of unearthing and fostering talent in Sri Lanka.

As Voice Lounge gets cracking on this never before contest, what’s for now? Well as Sajith says, “Get practicing your favourite tracks, group up your pals to cheer for you and of course bring on that attitude that can take you right to the top!”
