Bollywood actor Salman Khan invited fellow actor Aamir Khan and others for the special screening of his latest release ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ on the occasion of Eid in India’s entertainment capital Mumbai.
Other guests who arrived to watch the movie included Aamir’s daughter Ira, his brother Faisal Khan, filmmaker Ritesh Sidhwani and actor Sanjay Kapoor.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan, this year’s big Eid release, comes close to perfectly exploiting every emotional trope that exists in films, and thus makes for easy viewing, if not great cinema, according to Reuters review.
The film scooped rupees 27.25 crores ($ 4.29 million) on the first day of its release on Friday (17 July) at the domestic box-office, said local media reports.
Aamir, after watching the film, was all praise for Salman.
“Kabir Khan has made a brilliant film and I think it is the best film of Salman’s career and it is his best performance also. I would like to say that everyone should watch this film repeatedly. I am glad that I watched this film,” said Aamir.
The film stars Salman and actress Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles.
“Every actor has done a good job in this film. When a good film is made, every actor does a brilliant job, no matter how small their role is and this is what can be seen in this film, he added.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan tells the story of a small girl from Pakistan, played by child actor Harshaali Malhotra, who gets lost in India and a man’s efforts in taking her back to her country.
It was released in approximately 50 countries including Pakistan, UK, USA and UAE.
