The Prince Ratnam School of Dancing Annual Dancers’ Ball 2012 will be held on Friday 31 August at the Empire Ballroom at Mt. Lavinia Hotel, from 8.30p.m. onwards.
There will be two bands in attendance viz. Super Pink and Purple and Nalin and the Star Combination, compered by Clifford Richards at this graceful event. Over the years, Prince Ratnam’s Annual Dancers’ Ball and banquet have become an outstanding social event for the year.
It is eagerly looked forward to by all classical dancing buffs and others who enjoy being associated with class and grace. It is distinctly different in flavour and style to other dances elsewhere. The accent is on style, elegance and orderly conduct, where people from all walks of life gather to enjoy the beauty of dancing in all its flowing grace. This is one of the reasons why it is held each year at the Mount Lavinia Hotel, which is peerless when it comes to being associated with all those virtues, apart from its unparalleled sense of ‘presence’. As with the dance itself, everything associated with it is designed to be memorable.
The school has taught dance lovers from students to professionals, such as Governors, Deans, Lecturers, Doctors, Architects, Directors from Corporate firms, Professors etc. who will be at the annual dance this year too. This event would be attended by approximately 250 distinguished guests.
