After two years living in Sri Lanka, the French photographer Marie-Caroline Senlis exhibits a collection of photographs selected from the work she did here. She presents a poetic vision of the country, nature, culture, people, colours, from her travels and everyday life. Inauguration with the artist is on Friday 7 April, 7 p.m.; the exhibition will take place from 7 to 25 April at Exotic Roots, 50A Light House Street, Galle Fort; open every day, 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
After studies in Fine Art in Versailles, French Literature and Chinese language and civilisation, Marie-Caroline Senlis started her carrier as a photographer in Shanghai in the early 2000s. She has been deeply inspired by the years spent in China, Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka, and by the spirit of these countries.
