Harpo’s cafes & restaurants presented the Victoria Chorale from Singapore, in association with the De Lanerolle brothers, as part of the festive program for the season. The event was well attended by music enthusiasts, others wanting to start the season in a festive mood. The Victoria chorale music director Nelson Kwei initiated the choir in 1988 and has been performing in Singapore and internationally, also winning at international competitions. The choir performs at the famous Raffles Hotel in Singapore during the Christmas season. The acapella renditions for the evening moved from ‘Swing low sweet chariot’ to Beatles favourites with the De Lanerolle brothers joining the group, and the extensive repertoire included a choice of traditional Latin music and some light hearted moments with ‘Goslings’ and ending the event with the seasonal carols.
