Natya Kala Mandhir, the dance institution celebrates the completion of 40 years of remarkable contribution to the classical field of art. To mark the launch of their new chapter they present ‘Pavithra Bharatham’ on Monday 14 November at 5:30 p.m. at the New Kathiresan Hall, Bambalapitiya, under the distinguished patronage of ‘Deshamanya’ Dr. Radhika Cumaraswamy and Director of the Indian Cultural Centre Rajshri Behera as the Special Guest.
Natya Kala Mandhir, the Institution was established in 1976 by the well-known Bharatha Natya exponent Kalasuri Vasugy Jegatheeswaran. Ever since, Natya Kala Mandhir has presented hundreds of dance programs and dance dramas which have won the unstinted praise of the audience. Their performances presented at both national and international stages have always captured the audience. ‘Pavithra Bharatham’ the dance recital, would feature the very first student of Natya Kala Mandhir to the senior students as of date.
