In a story very much dedicated to overworked mothers who seemingly seem to balance work and family life, the film ‘Bad Moms’ is all about three stressed out moms who literally cut loose and join forces to free themselves from their usual routines and embark on a fun filled un-mom like burst of freedom.
The three mothers are played by Mila Kunis (Amy), Kathryne Hahn (Carla) and Kristen Bell (Kiki) with Amy meeting Carla and Kiki after a stressful day at a nearby bar where they end up discussing their lives, husbands and the local Parents Teachers Association (PTA) which is run by Gwendolyne (played by Christina Applegate) who is detested by most mothers and who will go to any length to make sure that she has total control over the PTA.
Their union blossoms out into a strong friendship with events leading up to ousting Gwendolyne as the PTA president and results in an inspiring speech by Amy on how mothers are overworked and stressed out and touches on the importance of taking time off for themselves.
The movie is directed by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore.
Bad Moms will be screened by Ceylon Theatres at Majestic Cineplex at 10:15, 1:15, 4:15, 7:15, Fri/Sat 10:15 p.m. and Empire Cineplex 10:30, 1:30, 4:30, 7:30 Fri/Sat 10:30.
