Singer (Sri Lanka) PLC, the country’s premier consumer durables retailer, has expanded its range of TVs with the introduction of its future TVs at a ceremonial event held at the Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo recently.
During the colourful event, Singer launched the all-new Singer Epic AI TV range. The event was attended by Group Chairman Mohan Pandithage, Group CEO Mahesh Wijewardena, Marketing Director Kumar Samarasinghe and several other members of the Singer Sri Lanka PLC management team.
The Singer Epic AI TVs are known as the most affordable premium products from Singer and will be available in 43-inch, 49-inch, 58-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch sizes. The most significant feature of this range is that all TVs will be available with Android TV making Singer the first local brand to partner with Google Android. Android TV now comes with built-in Google Assistant where users can simply say “OK Google,” or press the mic button on the remote control to quickly find the information that they require.
Android 8.0, the operating system is a promising, friendly UI with a vast global content, mass memory and smart Google assistant. YouTube 2018, supporting 360 degrees video with 4K video, VR, etc., along with nearly 20,000 TV and movies and 40,000,000 music sources is complemented with the Google Eco system. Entertainment Station or the Google play store is another feature in Android 8.0, with which over 3600 apps and Games can be accessed. Multi-player mode along with Quad core CPU and Powerful Gaming GPU couples up to give the user a fantastic experience.
Google Assistant, with precise understanding, accuracy, high interaction and efficiency offer the best experience of internet. Smart Home concept, with the theme of Bridge Connection brings over 200 brands and about 1500 different kinds of smart devices available. It brings the future lifestyle to everyone while bringing convenience.
The all-metal design of the 75-inch TV ensures that every major part of the body is covered by aluminium alloy, protecting it from scratches and damages by any hard object. The Golden plated elegant style is complemented with the narrow bezel which adds durability to the design. The 75-inch model is marketed at around 1/3 the price of similar-sized models from other brands.
Picture quality is defined by the features such as IPS panel, local dimming, HDR 10 and HLG decoding. In terms of display, the technology brings a vast number of improvements including scene modification, picture smoothening, colour compensation, skin colour improvement and HDR+ technology. HDR+ technology delivers outstanding images with high contrast and accurate details.
Singer is the first in Sri Lanka to introduce the 58-inch Ultra HD Smart TV at the same price as the 55-inch models in the market today. The 43 and 49-inch models come with a front sound bar that gives the audience crisp, clear sounds. All TVs in the new series provide a home cinema experience and offer cutting-edge features such as Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision, DTS Tru Surround and WiFi. This new TV range will come with a three-year fully comprehensive product warranty and will be backed by Singer’s renowned after-sales service.
