Curve Tapas Bar – promoting excellent live bands weekly presents ‘Out of Time’ a blues and rock based dance band, with a set comprising classic improvised covers of tracks by bands/artistes such as The Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton – and original music written by Wade Campbell the lead singer, mirroring his life and travels around South Asia.
The band comprises of talented musicians: Wade Campbell – Vocals and Guitar, Arosha Hettiaracchi – Bass, Charith Fernando – Drums, Ryan Somaratne – Vocals and percussion and Kumar Mirchandani – Guitar and vocals.
Having performed frequently at the Barefoot Café and at the Galle Literary Festival 2017, Out of Time considers the Curve Bar their ‘home’ venue and has played many nights to packed houses there.
22 November will also see the reunion of the ‘48 Hours’ band comprising Kumar Mirchandani, Jehan Rajapakse, Prasanna Weerawardane and Tom Wirth, a blues virtuoso residing in the United States.
Tom returns to Sri Lanka after 25 years and is looking forward to playing to audiences here again.
