Spreading the joy and warmth of Christmas celebrations by reaching out to the differently-abled, this year Taj Samudra Colombo joins hands with students of The Blind School of Ratmalana. Magical voices of the students will fill the air as they perform Christmas carols at the lobby lounge The Lattice of Taj Samudra on 22 and 23 December, once the sun sets from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Taj Samudra believes that this wonderful opportunity can showcase the talent of these students regardless of them being visually impaired, which in turn can encourage these children to reach their potential as valuable citizens.
On a humanitarian note, in line with the spirit of Christmas, much known as the season for giving and sharing, memories of this evening filled with Christmas cheer will certainly be etched in the minds of these students, as Taj Samudra takes pride in extending support for this worthy cause.
Over a century, The Ceylon School for the Deaf and Blind at Ratmalana has been lighting the lives of many hearing and visually impaired children, providing them with primary education to vocational training free of charge in order to hone them to be secure and independent as they grow up, while enabling such children for a smooth transition with the society.
Your support can help students to uplift their spirits, as the hotel endeavour to care them this Christmas.
Taj Samudra Colombo welcomes all and your presence is much valued.
