Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (SVCC), High Commission of India, Colombo, successfully organised a number of cultural programs in December 2019. The highlights of the month were:
International Hindi Seminar organised by Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (SVCC), High Commission of India in collaboration with University of Kelaniya on 4 December 2019 at University of Kelaniya.
Screened family entertainer Hindi film “Tara Rum Pum” (with English subtitles) on 6 December 2019.
‘Gaudiya Nritya’, Classical Dance of Bengal by Senior Professor Mahua Mukherjee from India on 13 December 2019.
Rishta “The connectedness”, Kathak Recital by Nriya Nipun Nuwan Theekshana Liyanage and his disciples on 13 December 2019.
Food and Fun Fiesta by the students, staff and teachers of Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre on 14 December 2019.
“Anterrashtriya Hindi Parishad” and “Aadhaarsheela Vishva Hindi Mission” in collaboration with Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Colombo, conducted an international Hindi Conference on 15 December 2019 at Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre. On this occasion, 11 Sri Lankan Hindi Experts were felicitated on the occasion by “Aadhaarsheela Vishwa Hindi Mission”.

Lecture on the topic “Settlement and Subsistence Pattern of the Indus Valley Civilization: An Archaeological Perspective” at Department of History and Archaeology, University of Sri Jayewardenepura University of Jayawardenapura on 19 December
Lecture on the topic “Understanding Gandhi and His Innovations in Mass Mobilization” at the Centre for Contemporary Indian Studies, University of Colombo, on 20 December 2019. A 12-member dance group of ‘Sathya Sai Kalalayam’ from Kandy, Sri Lanka, participated at National Tribal Dance Festival – 2019 at Raipur, Chhatisgarh (India) from 26 to 30 December 2019.
