October marks the start of the truffle season, signifying luxury to even the most jaded palates. Considered the most expensive food in the world, MLH has done justice and created an extravagant yet tasteful menu to choose from. On from 24 to 31 October 2013 at the Governor’s Restaurant and Seafood Cove all day on a la carte basis, the truffle-laden week will consist of the following even desserts: Starters: Tempura asparagus with soft poached egg, hollandaise and black truffle, seared bay scallops with pea puree and truffle butter and Angus beef Carpaccio with quail egg and white truffle. Mains: The crab and truffle burger, blue swimmer crab patty, mix salad leaves and truffle mayo on toasted brioche with hand cut fries, wild mushroom ravioli sage and truffle butter and fillet mignon with béarnaise sauce truffle mash & sautéed greens. Desserts: White chocolate mousse, walnuts and white truffle, warm chocolate lava cake, truffle ice cream and parfait of avocado, honey and truffle.
