Promising a five-star dining experience, Nara Thai opens in Colombo today (26), bringing exquisite and authentic Thai cuisine to Sri Lanka.
Nara Thai, which has been voted one of Thailand’s best restaurants since 2007, boasts a menu comprising over 120 dishes and is geared to serve up a fine-dining experience in a spacious and exquisitely-appointed setting.
Addressing the media at the press launch on Tuesday, Nara Thai Sri Lanka Managing Director Shafraz Anees assured the team at Nara Thai Sri Lanka would present its guests the best service, offering a delicious range of bold flavours and tastes that are bound to excite their senses.
“Nara Thai combines the highest quality ingredients and age-old recipes to offer truly authentic Thai cuisine. Sri Lankans can now enjoy a delicious Thai meal in a contemporary restaurant. Nara Thai will offer a fine dining experience to all who dine here,” elaborated Anees.
“We look forward to meeting all our guests in the coming months and treating them to an enjoyable and memorable experience with us!” he added.
The restaurant’s extensive a la carte menu features dishes derived from authentic recipes adapted into a modern context and prepared intricately, which was evident at the heavily-laden table showcasing 30 of Nara Thai’s top dishes at the press launch.
The entire menu along with pricing is featured on its Facebook page in an album titled ‘Nara Thai Menu’.
Nara Thai Cuisine Co. Co-founder Yuki Srikarnchana recalled Nara Thai’s beginnings, with the opening of its first outlet in Thailand in 2006.
“Our mission was to share authentic Thai comfort food with the public. Our first restaurant was an immediate success and now we have seven Nara Thai restaurants in Bangkok. Our first overseas venture was to Singapore, followed by Vietnam, and we now present the home of Nara Thai cuisine in Sri Lanka, where you can savour the authenticity of Thai cuisine,” she said.
Nara Thai Sri Lanka Group CEO Khalil Ul Rahman echoed her sentiments, asserting that the five-star fine-dining restaurant was meeting a timely need in Sri Lanka.
The new restaurant is located at No. 3, Deal Place, Colombo 3.
The franchisee, Sri Lankan-based Everbright Holdings Ltd., is renowned for specialising in the food and beverage industry in the country with a bevy of renowned global names under its belt and Nara Thai is its latest venture.
