This is essentially a meat sashimi, as the beef is raw. Known for being a popular choice amongst Asian cuisine this rare cooked meat dish offers a difference in flavour to the usual Japanese dishes served in the Colombo. Tataki is the method of searing meat briefly over a hot flame, cooling it down immediately and marinating it in vinegar before cutting it into thin slices and seasoning it with ginger.
