Mount Lavinia Hotel promised a culinary journey with global and fusion cuisine last year and endorses a further promise with a mark of love starting from 1 February 2013.
The interesting spring season kicks off from 1 February dedicated to chocolate lovers and it promises to be a wonderful Valentine’s month. Chocolate is as big a part of anyone’s life and has the power to captivate like no other food. But its roots run much deeper.
When asked Bazeer Cassim – Group General Manager of the MLHG (Mount Lavinia Hotel Group), why the month of February, he stated, “We believe that something like chocolate that creates such emotional bonds can be good for you and the Valentine month is the ideal fit.”
Some say a course meal with chocolate can’t be done. Well Chef Indika of the Mount Lavinia Hotel begs to differ. He stated, “Imagine an eight course meal inspired by chocolate! This is every chocoholic’s dream! An indulgence not just for the palate but for your senses.”
It is a high culinary artistic menu prepared and designed by him. It’s a tasting menu which allows you to try a little bit of everything and share the meal with your loved one and will be on from 8 to 17 February 2013, for dinner at the Governor’s Restaurant and Terrace
The chocolate infused high tea will be held from 11 to 17 February. Love bites along with a chocolate beverage menu that will be available for the whole month will allow people to share with that special someone in the month of love.
Love Huts by the Beach on 14 February – only 20 huts are available for a price of Rs. 7,000 nett for two. An interesting menu and a cozy area for two is the main focus.
