The most prestigious gastronomic competition in the world “Bocuse d’Or” brings together the crème de la crème of the culinary world for Bocuse d’ Or Asia 2018.
Last year, Chef Chamaka Perera from Waters Edge, beat 24 other candidates to win the Bocuse d’Or Sri Lanka Selection Competition. The competition was judged by a Bocuse d’ Or approved panel of judges consisting of both international and local expertise.
In early May the team will head to China for Bocuse d’Or Asia 2018. This initiative is done under the blessings of Minister of Megapolis and Western Development Patali Champika Ranawaka.
Team Sri Lanka will compete against national level winners from Indonesia, Japan, New Zealand, China, Australia, India, Malaysia, South Korea, Singapore, Vietnam and Thailand. The winners will then go on to battle the rest of the world at the Grand Finale on 29-30 January 2019.
