Il Mare Restaurant at Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort has been awarded the prestigious Award of Excellence 2018 by Wine Spectator, the world’s leading authority on wines, for its impressive selection of 155 fine wines.
The Italian fine dining restaurant is the only restaurant in Sri Lanka, which has received this respected award. The award recognises wine lists that offer a well-chosen and interesting assortment of quality wines that are appropriate to the respective cuisine and appeal to a wide range of wine enthusiasts.

This is the seventh significant international award that the resort has won on its way to establishing itself as one of the leading luxury properties on the island. Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort has achieved significant international and local recognition, including in Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards in 2016 and 2017, being named on DestinAsian magazine’s 2016 Luxe List and included in the Condé Nast Traveler US’s 2017 Hot List.
