When politics has degenerated into a battle of personalities. When all they do is to sling mud at each other. When gullible audiences hero worship them as the saviours of the nation. Why on earth are we complaining about the state of affairs?

What we need is a change of system, not a change of personalities. But to do this, we need intelligent, enlightened people in Parliament. But how can we have intelligent, enlightened people in Parliament when the people who vote them in are not?

This requires investment in education – long before and even at the expense of things like elevated highways, towers, and light railways. Because if you have an educated population, they will build all these and more. But then, as much as the arms manufacturers need wars, these politicians need dumb audiences!
