The Christmas season is about celebrating the birth of the Christ. But it is not a mere celebration; it is about giving and sharing the love, joy and happiness with others. The sole purpose of Triumph’s 18 days of Christmas was to contribute something back to the society. Triumph’s 18 days of Christmas started as a promotion to increase the seasonal sales and also to conclude the promotion as a CSR initiative which ensured giving required school materials and toys as gifts to the Peter Weerasekara Children’s’ home located in Gampaha. For every purchase of Triumph lingerie Triumph contributed a gift to a needy child and also it allowed customers the option of bringing their own toys and gifts when they visited the Triumph outlets. The gifts of school items and toys were collected at the 7 Triumph exclusive boutiques. At the end of the promotion Triumph collected all these gifts and made a contribution to the children’s’ home in Gampaha which had children from the ages of 3 months to 16 years. . Amal Fernando, Head of Marketing – Triumph International, Sri Lanka said: “Triumph International Sri Lanka is a socially responsible organisation whose focus is on ensuring good ethics when doing business and make a valid contribution to the society. With this in mind we designed this program to get our customers involved and make a contribution to the needy children. We specifically selected Peter Weerasekara Children’s Home as the orphanage has over 100 orphans who were looking forward to a celebration during the festive season and Triumph International Sri Lanka made that dream come true.” Triumph International Sri Lanka spent the day at the children’s home distributing the gifts collected and entertaining the children and finally serving them with refreshments. These children need much love and care, which they lack. Triumph International Sri Lanka hopes to continue this program to ensure that they touch the lives of these children in every possible way to make a difference in their lives. Triumph is concerned about the future generations what they leave behind for them and as an organisation Triumph ensures that these initiatives and values shared in building a better society and a tomorrow.
