The staff of TNT Express Middle East and its associate network voluntarily donated the amount of Euro 7,200 to Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), also known as Doctors without Borders.

MSF is an international independent humanitarian medical aid organisation which provides emergency medical aid where needed; regardless of race, religion, politics or gender in more than 70 countries.

MSF relies greatly on the support of private donations, which account for 90% of its funds, and which ensure its independence of action in complex crises.

The donation was presented by Middle East and Subcontinent Associates General Manager Tim Frank James Edgeworth, TNT Express Middle East Sales and Marketing Director, with the presence of the marketing, communications and corporate responsibility departments.

MSF’s UAE Regional Office Executive Director Ghada Hatim commented: “We are delighted in contributing to MSF’s work within the Middle East region. Donations like these help our teams deliver quality medical care to patients caught in conflict.”

This contribution will support MSF in buying the necessary drugs, dressings and instruments to deliver life saving assistance to wounded, burned or sick patients who have sustained injuries in conflict.

The material will be allocated to support MSF’s patients in the Middle East covering Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

TNT Express Middle East Sales and Marketing Director James Edgeworth said: “This donation demonstrates our staff’s commitment to giving back to the communities in which we operate in. We are pleased to provide our support to MSF helping them in saving lives in areas of conflict.”
