The Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) recently completed the donation of stationary items to a large number of students who were affected by the floods, fulfilling its national responsibility during a time of crisis.
The donation took place at the Henry Olcott Vidyalaya in Kolonnawa, which was one of the most affected areas in the island, with over 18,000 families. SLIM Secretary Suranjith Swaris, SLIM CEO Sanath Senanayake and SLIM Lecturers G.S. Sylvester, Maxwell Ranasinghe, and Ravi Opatha, along with the Senior Manager of Membership Services and Development Chamil Wickremasinghe and his membership team, were present at the occasion. “As the national body for marketing we have a responsibility towards all Sri Lankans in their time of need. As education is one of the primary arms of our institute, we have donated stationery items in order to enable these students to continue their education,” stated SLIM President Upul Adikari.
“I thank all those who donated items, including members of SLIM, lecturers and staff. Your magnanimity will ensure that the students in Kolonnawa will be able to resume their studies which were brought to halt by the flooding,” said Sanath Senanayake.
SLIM is the national body for marketing and offers the most sought after proprietary postgraduate and diploma programs in the fields of marketing and sales.
