Seylan Bank, the bank with a heart, has been facilitating remittances from Dubai to Sri Lanka over a long period of time and the bank has arrangements with all the major exchange houses and banks in the UAE for remitting money to Sri Lanka.
Whilst providing financial services, Seylan Bank has also been involved in looking after the social wellbeing of the Sri Lankan diaspora living in the UAE in keeping up with the bank’s corporate image of ‘beyond just banking, care beyond service’.
The Sinhala and Tamil Avurudu season is a period where most people living away from their homeland become nostalgic and miss their loved ones back home. As a social responsibility and to celebrate the festive cheer, Seylan Bank sponsored a musical evening ‘Seylan-Frico Avurudu Mela’ on Friday 5 April at the Al-Nasar Leisure Land.
The music for the evening was provided by the ever popular band Marians along with many famed artistes. The occasion was graced by Dr. Mahinda Balasuriya, Sri Lankan Ambassador to UAE, special invitees along with over 5,000 Sri Lankans living in Dubai.
The highlight of the evening was the free entrance coupon draw where Seylan Bank gave away a NRFC account worth DHS 1,000 to one lucky winner.
